One of the symbols of Chelyabinsk is Kirovka, a pedestrian street that locals call Arbat. It is a popular place for walks, and it is located in the very center of the city, near Revolution Square.
The museum's collections contain more than three hundred thousand items. The archaeological collection based on excavations of burial mounds and sites along the banks of the Ural rivers deserves special attention.
Not far from SUSU is the entrance to the Gagarin Central Park of Culture and Leisure, which Chelyabinsk residents like to compare with New York's Central Park. There are rides, bike paths, a tennis court and numerous rental points (karting, catamarans, bicycles, skates, etc.).
It was founded in 1996 on the basis of a private collection of animals. Currently, it contains about 470 specimens (136 species) of mammals, birds, reptiles - these are brown and polar bears, tigers and cheetahs, various primates, mongooses and meerkats and many other animals.
